Yes, I have the same issue.  In the past, it kept me signed in.  Now I have to keep signing in all the times.

Please bring back the "my content" option. I used that more than any other option to navigate the forums. It's a very quick and easy way to follow threads that you've posted in. Also, the "read the last new post" option is gone. Instead of being able to pick up where you left off in a thread, now you have to guess and sift through the thread to find your spot.

1.) How can I delete my notifications once I have read them ? I also don't want all deleted just those I chose to, I keep some

for reference. I don't see the delete button and boxes to check next to the notifications.

2.) There needs to be more contrast between posts, it is too light, not easy on the eyes.

3.) New content by country used to be on the home page on the right side, please bring it back for a quick

check of new country specific posts versus having to go to the regional forum.

I think you meant the left side, not the right? It seems instead of "Member since" there is now the number of upvotes for the member's reputation instead.

It seems the City and State options under the member info need to be bolded, since the other info like Filed for, etc, is bolded.

I don't think they chose this exact modern design (with the Google/Apple-esque circle userpics and overall whiter appearance) it might just be the default when you install the new forum. I do prefer the darker colors on the older sight, it was easier on the eyes.

Are you sure the notification sounds are a setting in your browser? It was easy for me to turn off the VJ notification sounds, so maybe yours are coming from somewhere else in Firefox.

Thanks millefleur, I definitely meant the left side. Also I was able to turn off the sounds option under notification settings but it still happens time to time.

I guess the switch to upvotes from "member since" is supposed to serve the same function but I do not agree. People upvote for all kinds reasons, like to say thank you, or back up an opinion they agree with (especially under controversial posts under Effects of Major Changes). Personally I mostly upvote when I find a well-written post with good, concise  information that I might want to find again. Some of the members that I really appreciate have been around here for a long time so I trust their knowledge and judgment, and I do not care if they are likeable enough to receive upvotes. That is just my opinion at the end, others might believe their "reputation" info is good enough but I would really like to have the "member since" info back.

On the other hand, I really appreciate the chance to provide feedback and will remain forever thankful for all the things this website has taught me about the immigration process. I will keep reading and learning, since I am not nearly done, and help others whenever I can but the new site re-design is not making it easy for sure.

When you click on Messages and go to Inbox, all the messages are listed on a small window on the left size while about 80% of the screen is covered with the white background on the right.

The frames for the Inbox needs to be bigger so you don't have to work on a small portion of the screen and scroll up and down when there is so much empty space available on the right.

Hover your mouse over your logo/picture on the upper right hand corner and you will see a FIND CONTENT.

On the link/thread below, the quoted text doesn't have a label as to who originally wrote it nor a box around it to show that it's a quote.  Looks like text written by the poster.

Another thing I noticed is gone: does anyone remember the little arrow you could click on topics so that it gave you a 'preview' of each topic? And you could just see the preview then hit "Mark as read"? That was really handy. I hope it will come back.

If you hover over it it does that and you can read first and last post and mark as read.

Thanks Eric, but that's not the same "my content" option I was referring to. The "my content" option I am referring to would give you a list of every thread you ever posted in with the most recent post in that thread available to view. You could also navigate to any page in the thread you wanted to. It was like a "my content" on steroids.

Thanks S&C, I just tried to do the hover thing and nothing changed at all. Is anyone else not seeing this option when they hover over topics on the forum?

I see all my content under activity now, have you checked there ? Go to profile first then click
"all my activity."
