I did... she said she coded in html.. and that's what i'm doing... but she also told me it doesn't work properly for her either.. don't know if it's the same issue she's got though

Is there an option to limit / prevent others from seeing certain kind of your activities such as receiving or giving reputation, following people, posts, etc.

I'll second this. I really miss the "Go to First Unread Post" feature. For threads that develop communities over months, it's very important to be able to click on the bookmark, immediately see whether or not there is any new activity, click on the Unread Post button, and immediately be taken there. Thanks for looking into restoring this key feature!

Another small thing about the design (and maybe it's just me):

Is anyone else bugged by how the user sidebar on the left-hand side (the part where it says Username, rank, filing location, timeline, etc) looks? I remember the old site had this section a different color (maybe it was slightly darker?) and I feel like that looked better than being all white/the same color as the content section. There's also no space between State:(State)...again, tiny detail but, would look better if it were fixed. Also, the line height/spacing in this section just seems a little odd. And I'm sure everyone's noticed: for lower rank members, the ranks are circles that look like bullets, but higher ranking members still have the old blue square/red heart system.

These are minor complaints, just wanted to throw them out there though.

Another thing which is hard to see: the star that is located to the left of forum items you have participated in, it's extremely faint and difficult to see once you've read the topic. It's a slightly darker grey on a lighter grey. When it's unread, it's blue and easy to see, however.

It no longer says the date the member joined on the right under member info.

Also speaking of the right side, putting the info centered instead of pushed back to the right makes it hard to read. It is standard info that I was able to read by just a glance before.

I feel like the most important part of a post, mainly the post itself and the information in it, is now a lot less prominent. The quote, edited texts are bigger, there is a very dark green upvote button, the member info is so close the actual post, and the line between signatures and the post is really faded etc.

I get that changes and modernization are necessary but I don't get why every website nowadays (Google, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.) has to look the same with a stark bright white background which is very hard on the eyes, the computer screen, environment etc. and I am speaking here as a relatively young person with perfect vision. This isn't a social media website. I am here to read, learn and get and give information. And that information should be the most important thing and easiest to find rather than say, an upvote button, especially when it concerns rules and laws that affect people's lives in very serious ways.

Also please someone help me turn off the sound firefox makes when there is a new post on the many threads I have open at one time, super irritating. I blocked notifications from this website but it still pings.

Don't know if this is a bug, but even if I leave myself signed in, if I close the page and return, I have to sign back in again (even if cookies/remember me is enabled). Think this is a fairly common thing that sometimes happens though with a newly migrated forum.

The upvote button is really dark green. I don't know if they can change it, but a slightly lighter shade would be welcome.

I think you meant the left side, not the right? It seems instead of "Member since" there is now the number of upvotes for the member's reputation instead.

It seems the City and State options under the member info need to be bolded, since the other info like Filed for, etc, is bolded.

I don't think they chose this exact modern design (with the Google/Apple-esque circle userpics and overall whiter appearance) it might just be the default when you install the new forum. I do prefer the darker colors on the older sight, it was easier on the eyes.

Are you sure the notification sounds are a setting in your browser? It was easy for me to turn off the VJ notification sounds, so maybe yours are coming from somewhere else in Firefox.
