That's what I thought at the beginning, that the US citizen name should go there but US citizen don't need Biometrics.  Try to fill it out when you have chance and keep me updated.  I need to send the form by Jan 9.

Oh yes I see your point. Maybe just leave blank as you said. I will do some more research. What are other people on VJ saying about this?

I haven't heard anything yet about this because not a lot of people have noticed that the I-751 Form was updated.  I tried asking the same question to December 2016 filers but nobody said anything yet.

Hi Maite&Osmar - I am about to submit my application soon as well. I filled out the latest version (dated 12/23/16) of I-751. Yes, the name field under part 7 and part 8 are not editable. However, they should get populated automatically from info entered on earlier pages. Specifically, the petitioner's name in part 7 will automatically get populated from name entered in part 1 and similarly for US Citizen spouse, name in part 8 should get populated from name entered in part 4. That's how it appeared for me. Have you filled out parts 1 and 4?

Hi Gaia12,

I already filled out all the application and I didn't have any problems with part 7.  My husband name appeared automatically from part 1 to part 7 as you clearly stated it.  I also entered all my information (I'm the spouse and US Citizen) on part 4 but my name didn't appeared automatically on part 8 and that's the reason why I'm a little bit concerned. In my application the box on part 8 is in blank and won't let me type anything.  Is anybody else having the same problem? Thanks a lot Gaia12 for your help at least I know that based on your comment, my name should be showing automatically from part 4.  I just have to find out why that's not the case with my application.

I noticed that the auto-population feature isn't very straightforward in the way it operates. If you haven't already, I'd suggest trying to erase your entry in part 4 (actually backspace each character) and re-type your name. Hopefully that might help.

I corrected a typo in part 1 and it wouldn't update in part 7. I had to erase my name altogether in part 1, exit that field, and then re-type in part 1 for it to get updated in part 7.

Hi everyone.

Submitted my application yesterday. It was actually the second time I submitted because the first time around I wrote a check for the wrong amount, and they returned it to me. ANYWAY, I resent yesterday and now I'm wondering if I made another mistake. When my application was returned they had stamped the first page of the I-751 so I had to reprint it, and I think I may have printed the old form. So the first page is the old version and the rest is the new version. Haha, I'm so over this, I really hope they don't return it again.

Hello VJ Family,

I am currently eligible for I-751 filing and the last day to file  is 31st March 2017. However, I am currently in a huge dilemma because I have trip planned to my home country in June for about 3 weeks and worried about the interview call falling in this period. I see that the average max time for the approval is 8 months and that would be in August but I still want to time it so that the interview is either before or after the trip

What would you guys suggest? File it in January or wait until March? If I file in January, I may not have the 2016 Tax statements for the evidence.

09/6/2014: AOS/EAD/AP sent (delivered on 09/09/2014)

09/15/2014: NOA1 texts/emails (x3) - Check cashed
