Always like reading stories about these "lost" tribes, but I agree with the governments 'no contact' policy toward them. Heck, let them live the way they want.

These are the incredible images showing an isolated tribe in the Brazilian rainforest still living like their ancestors did 20,000 years ago.

They were spotted by photographer Ricardo Stuckert as he took a helicopter ride over the Amazon jungle with one man even firing his spear at the snapper.

A storm had caused his helicopter to deviate from its route but it allowed him to capture the amazing snaps.

I also agree with that policy. Not only do we scare them, we also bring many viruses that we are used to but can make them very ill. There is also the issue of illegal loggers. It's crucial to let them keep living their way of life without illegal loggers getting any closer and bringing diseases as well as causing trouble. I am not sure if it is the same tribe or not, there are a few of those, but there is one tribe I was following a couple years ago that actually had to move to a new location because of the loggers getting too close.

I do think that those that aren't a completely "lost" tribe but are still living their way of life while being somewhat used to seeing a modern person occasionally, are very cool to meet. There is a tribe in Peru I saw way back when and it was awesome. Those that are lost - let them stay lost. If they wanted contact with us they would approach us(as some of the others have). I always wonder what they feel or think when they see something they are not used to like a chopper. It's probably kind of like us seeing a UFO. Well, technically speaking, to them it is a UFO.

Yes, a helicopter is a UFO to them. Only a heck of a lot noisier and scarier. Add to that people wearing strange garments and speaking a language the tribes do not understand, these men that "tame the noisy beast from the sky" as it were...

Seen it first hand. People who have never had running water except the stream beside their hut, wherein 20-30 or more (hard to tell, because they tended to hide their women and children, scattering as we approached to land). No electricity, vehicles, not even a cow. Maybe some dogs, and three or four goats. Making fires with friction alone. Amazing in this day and age that such people exist, and even more amazing that they actually thrive, and are happy. No contact with the outside world, never been more than a few kilometers from their shared home. Isolation that which most of us cannot imagine.
