Hello everyone! Sent my packet today! I'm nervous but I see its normal for I've read some of your forums. I wanted to ask a couple of questions though, see who can help me. 1) when the packet is recieved? The check will be cashed correct? Or can some tell me your expierience.

2) Ill be notified when it is approved, denied, or get RFE?

3) When the interview comes, (california) will it be in Juarez, Mexico or here in Tijuana, Mexico?

1) Depends on what service you used to send it, and where you sent it from. It's the holidays here so things are a little backed up, but I would expect that if it was sent from within the US, it will generally arrive within a week. USPS Priority Mail from PA took me 2 business days, then 1 more day for them to pick it up at the PO box. The check won't be cached until they open start processing. For me, this was on my NOA1's notice date, which was about a week after the packet was delivered.

2) Yes. If you filled out the form for electronic notification and included it in the packet, then you should get a text and/email as well. However, some people have reported not receiving those for all circumstances (but NOA1 and NOA2 generally send something). Otherwise, you will get something in the mail. You can also check the status of your case (once you get the NOA1's receipt number) via their website. I also use the "Case Tracker" app on my phone to just quickly check it daily. Don't expect it top update often...they really only update for major status changes like RFEs, NOA2, etc.

3) It should be based on whatever consulate/embassy handles the case. I believe this should be the one that you put on the I-129F.

Actually my fiancé (petitioner) put in our petition the Money Order not a check, so I don't know how the system of Money Order works in the U.S!!!? ?

Money order have recording number that he can all the number that services them to find out if the order was cashed.

I would not worry about it. If they don't except or did not get the payment they will notify him.
Important thing is he sent with delivery confirmation or tracking the I-129F packet so he can verify if USCIS received it if not then he will have to wait a week or so

for them to email/text him.

Yes Jim we tracked the I-129F by USPS express trucking and my fiancé asked them for signature too, after they delivered the petition it came a message through tracking that it delivered also signed by (Name of A guy) so we are sure it's arrived.

I can say on a positive note by the time they get to our forms a new tax year will have filed so if you haven't already throw something into the bank. As we know Christmas can put a dent in your wallet quickly...

The 23rd isn't an official federal holiday, but coming from a government contractor...not much gets done. They don't work on the weekend, and the 26th was a holiday. Even then, things go pretty slowly this time of the year as lots of people are out of office.

Mine was sent on 16th and received on 19th. Also haven't heard anything if that makes you feel better since yours was a few days after mine. I'm not worried as I figure it's due to holiday.
