Hi VJ members

Checking on the IV they are issued and that was about 2 weeks ago , but haven't received the passports yet

Why it takes all that time to send the passports Only today Aramex sent a msg informing me that my son's passport is there , but neither mine nor my other son , is that normal or am I rushing things ?

Each applicant has to go through screening, so unfortunately the passports will come back at different times. I know of one other family that has been waiting just over two weeks for their passports. Not enough to determine if it is normal. I was told that if you do not have to go through AP, passports are typically returned within 30 days. If any of you are required to go through AP typical rate of return is 60 days. :(

Good Luck!

Alexis

Each case is handled individually. Not as a group. Times will vary. Plus, it is the holiday season. So times are a little slower.

You may be able to inquire about them Other than that give them a little more time.

Thanks a lot for your input , to my surprise when I went to Aramex to pick up my son's passport I found out that all the passports were there , they do not update the ceac.state.gov web site

Yes they can all arrive at the same time. But they are still handled individually.

For example, there was a member who petitioned multiple members of her family. All got approved except the eldest sibling.

Oh I see , in our case my elder son got approved first , then me the principal applicant days later
