that's a problem with our toyota. but its so reliable (knock on wood), we just try to stay on top of the rusting out.

We have an 07 Toyota, which is one of my dad's old cars. Still runs great, but the rust is a mess. I don't remember any of my dad's other old cars besides Toyota having that issue either.

Well, rust is a problem anywhere there is snow and it's not below -30º on a regular basis, because they tend to use salt on the roads. You won't find this to be as much of an issue in the South or Alaska, unless you're near an ocean.

I wasn't aware Toyotas had a rust issue. That is interesting that they chose a different coating for the frames and it happened. Recently was a a dealer who sold Rams, and he tried to tell me that Rams don't suffer from rust as I was alluding to, in spite of the fact that salt is used a lot on the local roads. As he was saying it, an older Dodge pickup drove past, and both of the fenders were rusted thru into the wheel wells. To his credit, it was an older make, and perhaps Ram as improved the undercoating process. Still, I had to smile. Salesmen, only lying when their lips are a-movin'...

The above reference in no way reflects the actions or intentions of any of the beloved car salesmen on VJ, nor anyone who gives advice here, nor any MDL readers, nor any alt-right followers, nor any Trump supporters, nor any women, men, or children of any race, creed, color.

Here they use brine which is horrid for your car. We actually just got the rocker plates done several months ago.

Personally, I never liked Toyotas or Fords, so I will more than likely keep doin jeeps unless I become extremely dissatisfied. Jeeps and Audis. All a man needs.

You might wanna stop lying to your potential customers. Ford trucks are not made in Mexico, they are made in Detroit in the Rouge plant. The ENGINES may be made in Mexico, but not the trucks. 'Stangs are made in Flat Rock, MI.

Couldn't find numbers for 2015, but for 2014, it was Ford, then Chevy, then Toyota.
