New fees and sending the application before the 23rd Dec 2016

So I just read that the fee goes up from 340 to 535, If my fiancé and I submit the whole package before that date, we will have to pay the 340? Or cause they take a month to run the check into their system we have to pay the new fee??

Please advice.

You pay the old lower fees if postmarked BEFORE 12/23/2016. It doesn't matter when your application enters the system. It's the postmark that matters.
