Now others may comment that it was just coincidence and it had no bearing on the interview being waived. But i tend to agree with you. Welcome to the OCD club! lol

Oh, I did add wedding pics too.

I did add that too, I think our OCD was really helpful in these kinds of activities. Yeah, they will probably say that but a frontloaded packet won't hurt you anyway. I hope you get yours get approved without interview as well. :)

Maybe consider using the official USCIS process to ensure you're doing what they require you to do.

I will not look back on this journey with fond memories, but I will look back knowing that every step was worth it, whatever the outcome.

My partner and I provided the following evidence: marriage license, photos from wedding and dinner afterwards, receipt for wedding rings, copy of lease agreement with both names, copy of his registration at school showing mail coming to our joint address, photos of him and I with friends and family members, and copy of bank statements with both names on account. We did not need an interview (waived) and AOS was approved within 90 days of submission. In fact, EAD and AP were approved at same time as AOS. I truly believe that having provided additional evidence expedited the process and resulted in interview being waived.

That subject is really personal preference. It's been discussed and debated several times here. i personally, sent in some marriage evidence, ie.. health insurance coverage form, joint bank statement, etc. Some feel it helps waive the interview. Others think it's a waste of time. It literally took me 15 minutes to photocopy a couple papers and include them in my cover letter. To each his own.

I agree the idea is to send as much as you have at first. The key is to avoid an RFIE so whatever you can "frontload" is always the best option IMO. Better to have too much then not enough. I think it can make a difference as to whether or not your interview is waived if you fall into that category.

It will help you a lot. Yes, you need to submit more information than just your marriage certificate. I did not include any photos, but they do ask for an affidavit of support.

Here are some of the documents I submitted:

1. Copy of spouse's (fiancée) U.S. Visa

2. Passport photos of USC (2)

3. Passport photos of foreign spouse (6)

4. Copy of your marriage certificate

5. Copies of the biographic page of USC and spouses passport and the entry stamp into US

6. Copy of I-94

7. All other signed documents (G-325A one each for you and another for fiancee, I-131, I-485, I-765, I-864)

8. Money Order to Department of Homeland Security for $1070

9. Copy of I-129F Approval (i.e. I-797 NOA)

10. Copy of Tax Transcripts and W-2s for last 3 years.

11. Copy of Vaccination Report from USEM.

12. Copy of any divorce decrees for you or spouse

13. Copies of Birth Certificates of you and spouse

14. Cover page

You need to hurry and submit your AOS ASAP because the fees go up on December 23, 2016. They increase by about $250.

If you submit the I-485, the I-765 (Employment Authorization Document), and the I-131 (Advance Parole) you pay only 1 fee the $1070. If you submit separately or submit some at a later date then you will pay for each document. It is about 1 year to receive your permanent resident card. So if you want to work or travel before you receive it I would highly recommend you submit all documents at the same time.

Hope that helps!

The fee is going up to $1,140 + biometrics fee ($85)

I'm curious why this list includes documents for the US citizen, such as copy of US passport, passport photos of US citizen, G325a for US Citizen, copy of US birth certificate and divorce certificate for US citizen??? I've just completed our packet for AOS and I didn't see those requirements anywhere in the instructions for forms I-485, I-131, or I-765.

The only form the US citizen completes is the I-864, Affidavit of Support, and that form doesn't even ask for anything from the US citizen except tax transcripts. No copy of US passport, no birth certificate, no passport photos, no divorce certificate. You can attach pay stubs and letter from employer if you think it will help demonstrate financial responsibility, but these are not required if you're sure you've met the income requirements.

Can anyone provide a link to a USCIS website that states these pieces of evidence should be included in the AOS packet???

My OCD tells me to provide evidence exactly as instructed. I wonder if providing so much more than is requested is an opportunity to misplace or miss the important things, like the beneficiaries immunization records, which is where it seems the RFE's come from.

You are correct with your statement above. I only included them because my attorney wanted copies of the USC documents. The USCIS instruction page does not say anything about submitting any documents for the USC. However, the extra photos are for the y Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, and the Form I-131, Application for Travel Document. Who knows, maybe the attorney knows something we don't.
