Hello all,

So I have what may be a dumb question. My fiance is here (yay!) and we are going tomorrow to the social security office to apply for his card. However, the guides say we need to bring the I-94 with us, but neither one of us know what an I-94 is. When I looked online, it said it was a form for a non-immigrant, yet the K1 is an immigrant visa, correct? So I'm just a little confused as to what we need to bring with us.

Thank you for any help you can give!

The K-1 is a special non-immigrant visa because it has immigrant intent, which is why it is processed through the immigrant visa units of the consulates. It is still a non-immigrant visa though, and most of the same rules for non-immigrant visa entries apply to it too.

~ Moved from K-1 Process to AOS from Family Based Visas - topic is past K-1 ~
