Concern? A lot of these people are business leaders who have spent their career signing the front of a check and running a business, and a lot of them are high ranking military.

We need people who know how to run a business, not people who have been career politics like Hillary Clinton being Sec. of State.

For starters,here is a nice little basic article of why the country should not be run like a business by a bunch of CEO's.

Signing a check, being profitable to the company is totally different than serving and governing.

We do NOT need people who know how to run a business, we need people who understand what is best for the "we the people."

People who have served and understand the complexities involved, it's not about turning a constant profit, it's not about

making a "deal", it's not about changing the tax code to enrich your company even more, it's not about doing away with

regulations that protect the average citizen so you can act like a bull in a glass shop.

Big corporations will be the downfall if not leashed.

Do you think all the "picks" will self regulate because they care ? Conflict of interests everywhere.

Know the difference between running a business for profit and serving the country as a president or cabinet member

to lead an agency for the good of the PEOPLE according to the constitution.

This is interesting, then why don't we simply just let the congress vote in the president and Vice President and forego the popular votes altogether. Aren't the representatives and senators already supposed to know the pulse of their constituents? I realize that this would again bring politics into the mix, but it would do away with all the endless campaigning that seems to start earlier and earlier with each four year cycle. There are drawbacks of course, particularly with the elite leadership class maintaining their perpetual control. Overall, I think it is naive to think that we could get a pool of non-partisan "common" people together to choose the president, I think we have learned that partisanship has infiltrates all of our institutions that are supposed to be neutral in particular the press and the justice system.

Basically, the electoral college was actually a compromise between those that wanted exactly what you brought up - for congress to elect the president - and those who wanted the people to. The result was the electoral college.

The answer is quite simple. These people know how to surround themselves with the right people and how to delegate power. I guess you don't have much insight into running a successful business. It is all about delegation and having the right people in place. You give direction and let your people power the train.
