Affordable civil surgeon in St. Louis / Using your PCP for tests

2 posts in this topic

I am currently on an F-1 visa, and married my wife, who I'd been dating for 9 years before we got married, back in June. We are getting ready to submit the documents for AOS, but have a couple of questions regarding the medical examination.

Money is an issue for us, so does anyone have any experience with an affordable civil surgeon in the greater St. Louis area?

In addition, I have a chronic, non-contagious condition (Crohn's disease), that is well-controlled on medication however. Could this pose a problem for the medical exam?

Also, is it possible to ask my primary care doctor to do the blood and any other required tests using my insurance and use that result to save money?

Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

Welcome to the forum.

See this thread: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/231026-civil-surgeons-who-dont-rip-you-off/page-32#entry8404967

Start from the last post and work backwards, looking for CSs in your area.

Please note that the thread is supposed to be informational, rather than a place to make inquiries. :)

Others here should be along to help with your other questions above. Good luck!
