Hi, I'm a U.S Citizen, planning to petition my mom in the Philippines. I would like to ask anyone of you here who knows or submitted an application recently to give me a step by step instructions on how to petition a mother living in the Philippines.

Also, I would like to know if I could submit the I-130 and I-485 together?

Thank you so much. (L)

Follow the Guides on this website.

You do not file an I-485 since your mother is not currently here in the US.

Oh ok. Thank you..

IR 5 Consular processing... I 130 from you first then the other documentation once it reaches the NVC stage. As already suggested - read the guides here and on the govt website.. they do answer all the questions. Take your time, read read and re read.

Hope it goes well!~! Approx 12 months from the time the I 130 is received by USCIS.

I will. Thank you...
