I read somewhere that the U.S. embassy will send you back if you have henna tattoos on your hands because it interferes with the process. My husband has his interview at Islamabad embassy and I (USC petitioner) will go with him, so not sure if they will my finger prints as well to enter the embassy? TIA

I attended the interview with my husband, and have visited the embassy multiple times

What you, the petitioner, need to enter the embassy is your passport

You will not be fingerprinted, your husband will be fingerprinted as part of the bio-metrics done at the embassy

Also, I have visited the embassy with henna, as they did not take my fingerprints (I am the petitioner/female) it did not matter, this is only an issue if the beneficiary is a female

Lastly, you can walk up to the window at the time of the interview if you would like, I stood with my husband all 3 times he was called up, also during the interview, although I initially did not speak, the CO encouraged me to provide answers as well
