Currently we are in the AOS stage. We got her ssn with her new married name but have not received the card. We should before we leave though. However, she does not have a DL with her new name of it. Do we just get the ticket in her name that is on the passport and visa? Even though technically her name has been changed?

This flight is from texas to Florida

Thanks

Kyle

reserve tickets under the name that's on the document you will use for identification. So probably her maiden name. Wait to get a new drivers license until after the trip, or she should identify herself with the passport if she obtains a new DL in the meantime.

Im so sorry. I was not descriptive enough. We are in Texas and want to fly to Florida. It wont be a international flight. She does not have her advance parole btw.

Haha, makes sense now! If she doesn't have her DL yet or on her married name, she'll most likely fly on her passport, which is in her maiden name so it's better to book the ticket in her maiden name.

she could of used her married name but then you would have to have passport in maiden name and then marriage certificate showing the name change. more work but always a good fall back incase things are bought in the wrong name.

I do not think this is accurate. She needs a official picture ID with the name her tickets are in. A marriage certificate does not qualify for that purpose.

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.

Name for the airline ticket MUST match the name on the passport! Never mind, I see this is a domestic flight.

The name can be the same as the PHOTO ID she has, if it is still her passport only, then that is the name you have to use.
