1,5 years ago some people were waiting 9 months to a year. You're well within the USCIS processing goal for I129F petitions, which is five months. Hang in there and good luck :-)

I was thinking the same thing! :goofy:

I wish they can move faster, probably there is a backlog of last minute visa filers who want to avoid paying the new visa fees but l'm just praying that we won't have to wait for another week.

What did you expect? .... Why not get out, or take up a hobby like learning to play the piano or to dance the Argentine Tango ...... would be a major surprise "hello" when you meet and get you off the USCIS or Visajourney websites counting your minutes and days.

@Hateadminforms,l have full-time and hobbies for that matter, vj was created for this purpose-if I didn't want to connect with other people going through same process l wouldn't have created an account here. So if you have nothing positive to say you better shut up.

the forums were created to share information and inform people of the proper steps in the process, while you took it as not constructive, I believe the intent was to let you know your timeframe is actually quite quick in regard to the published timelines. I was quite happy to get my noa2 at 60 days in August, people from earlier in the year were waiting 90 days, it all depends on the workload at the CSC

A post has been removed for having violated this provision of the VJ Terms of Service:

"Restrict or inhibit any other user from using and enjoying the Forums."

We don't tell people here to shut up, and the author is lucky to have avoided administrative action.

Thread is moved from the Effects of Major Changes forum to the K-1 Case Progress subforum.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

@Tbone,did you read what he wrote or are you just too fast to judge?seriously if someone has nothing kind to tell others it's fair enough if they held their comment.I posted my question in good faith if l knew the answers l wouldn't have asked.

Thanks guys for your encouragement,we thought we were in this alone after we observed that so many October filers had received NOA2 we will wait, hope we get ours soon.

My fiance is from Kenya too and two years ago the Texas SC was taking 9 months to approve. So things seemed to have got better. Good luck!!

Oh that's nice. We are done with the uscis and NVC trying to schedule an appointment but seems like this will also be a long wait. Because none has been made available.
