Well accounting, unless he specializes in something specific, you should start looking online through companies/personnel placement companies and such to see about that.

As for mosques, just doing a google search on me end, it looks like you would want to stay in central downtown Houston, or West to SouthWest area. That seems to be where they are located.

Here's the basic search: https://www.google.com/#q=mosques+in+houston&rflfq=1&rlha=0&rllag=29749473,-95626779,8646&tbm=lcl&tbs=ls:-1,lf_msr:-1,lf:1,lf_ui:1,lf_pqs:EAE

I live in West Houston myself just near Katy. About 15-18 miles from downtown houston.

West and SouthWest Houston seem to be okay to me. I know if you go onto the Eastern side of downtown (and no offense to anyone who reads this and lives in that area) it seems to be little sketchy to me honestly.

As to rent costs and such, it varies greatly by neighborhoods/areas.

I would suggest you search using: www.rent.com www.apartmentfinder.com and such that way you can search zip codes and also specify certain criteria you would like to have at your apartment/condo/town house. Plus you can search depending on your financial situation and desired rent range.

I work in accounting in Houston. Does your husband work in public accounting or industry? Big public accounting firms generally are located in downtown houston or the galleria area. If that's the case I would recommend getting an apartment within the loop around these 2 locations. You can search on apartments.com for rent and apt info. The rent for a 1 bedroom apt can be anywhere from 800-2000 or even more. Really depends on your preferences and the choice of apartment.

If he is going to work in industry (e.g. an oil and gas company), then they are mostly located further out in the city. I think rent would be relatively cheaper.
