They may ask for it yes. Haven't heard of them asking for it recently; but always good to have it and they could technically ask for it again at the interview.

Notarized? No, again not that I am aware of; but if you feel better about having it notarized by all means get it done

I read that CFO will sometimes ask for the parent's consent for ages 18-25. Does someone know if it needs to be notarized? Thank you!

Yes it needs to be notarized. CFO does not always ask for it, just th same it would be best to have it .. just in case.

There is information and a link to a consent letter here: http://visaconnection-philippines.com/index.php/2-visa-process/5-cfo-gcp-seminar

** From the Family Code of the Philippines**

It states; 21-25 years old for advice and 18-21 years old for consent. (Some have noted that they were not asked for this, yet others have been asked, so be prepared) Bring the ID of the parents, plus copies, postal ID should be adequate.

Examples (from Quezon City):

Advice of Parents:

Consent to Marry:

It can be confusing but here is the rule of thumb.

18 up to 21 submits consent letter - so if you are 19 and 364 days old you use consent. If you are 21 to 25 again 24 years and 364 days you would submit the advise letter. 25 you're not required to submit anything.

Highly doubt it  ...   If you have yet to complete the CFO-GCP seminar my suggestion to you is to be confident and self-assured during the one on one interview . the meek or timid tend to get "special attention" from the staff at CFO.   Also there is no harm in being prepared
