Hi all, I've been thinking about applying for naturalization (I have been a LPR for 20 years) but I have a couple concerns because I have multiple DUI's in my "criminal record." The last one was over 6 years ago and the others over 10 years ago. I have been sober for over six years though. I believe I have re-established my good moral character. Other than the DUIs, no criminal record or any other issues with the law. I have always been employed, I pay my taxes, I do a lot of community service (have documentation to prove it), I am not on probation, etc. Those of you who have naturalized recently (or know any one who has) and had DUIs, did you have any issues naturalizing? Were you denied? Did other issues arise after applying for naturalization? was your LPR status jeopardized? PS I've been out of the country 8 times in the last five years and have not had issues coming back. I've been admitted every time (this is a good sign, no?) I live in California. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.
