Hi guys,

We got married yesterday! Now we are going through the documents for green card. But we are stuck on literally the first step, this A-Number!

Has anyone found their A-Number? The internet says it's on our NOA but it's not. Some say it's on our Visa and its not!

Help!

It shouldnt take long after it shows ready. My fiancee got hers 2 days later. And her parents live in a more rural part of the country.

Good luck! let us know how it goes :)

Hellooooooooo well it looks like he got the visa but we are not sure?  he needed to bring his original birth certificate from Guatemala . So they told him to drop off his birth certificate to Cargo Express and his passport and visa would be ready in 10 days. that's what they told him.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Finally visa should be delivered tomorrow according to the post office. 8 months' journey. Would we, K1ers, adjust status much fast than those adjusting from other visas? I am just thinking we are basically treated as immigrants when applying for K1, like all the name check, police check, background check, medical check, plus we have waited for so long... The only thing lacking is the marriage and marriage certificate, much simpler than others.

adjustment of status has been taking on average between 3 to 5 months. with is EAD, AP and Adjustment of Status. This is of course if nothing else is flagged. But hopefully it wont take too long :) best of luck!
