Hi guys,

I have been under AP since the 14th of August, 2016. I got approved at the interview which was very smooth and short and the CO kept my passport. I have not received my CR1 visa stamped till now. I heard that AP is expedited towards end of year vacation. To what extent is this true, if anyone has an idea ?

I saw 2 status updates last week, which made me full of hope, but then again nothing this week and consulate has already closed for the weekend here in Cairo. Any insights ?

Thanks

It is case dependent.

You can inquire about your case. Maybe that will push it forward.

I have never heard of AP being expedited for that reason, or at all.
