File sent to Dallas Lock-Box today October 29th Saturday. They won't get it until probably Tuesday Nov. 1st so I will just start a new November thread here.

Unfortunately this is not my 1st time to go through this process I had one from last year that did not work out. The K-1 and K-2 visas were approved my fiancee at the time and her youngest boy came here but the eldest could not and they both ended up going back to the Philippines because of this.

The one prior to that was also a K-1 but ended in divorce after 10 years of marriage as she had been cheating on me for the last several years with her Filipino BF.

I heard that she is in process of bringing him here to USA as well. So she might be on this forum before long. Hi ! :jest:

Anyway my pain is your gain as I have a good bit of knowledge as far as how this entire process works but things change all the time so lets help and support each other.

Thanks

Jim

Hi Narakthsud,

Thanks I hope so to. All is well as of now.

I see you have you NOA 1. Seems like things are moving a bit faster at the CSC but slower at NVC.

My last NOA2 took all of 28 days. I hope you get yours in November.

Thailand is an amazing place. I might want to immigrate there someday.

Thanks

Jim

Thanks! The current VJ estimate for NOA2 is November 12-16. Hoping it comes faster than that! But even then, there's the black hole known as NVC. I'm a little nervous based on what I've read here!

(Off topic: Thailand is an incredible place to visit although I'm not sure I'd want to live there long-term. There's a military junta in charge of their government presently and they just went through a sham referendum giving more power to the military.)

So faster NOA2's = slower NVC? Gotta love the government! :ranting:

Here is something I learned (too late) this time around. It says don't highlight anything. I did this on my 2 prior k-1's and problem but just in case you may want to put the highlighter away. I didn't read this until AFTER I had already taken the yellow highlighter to the file.

https://www.uscis.gov/forms-filing-tips

Tips for Filing Forms with USCIS

Please read and follow the form filing instructions. Form fees, eligibility requirements, fee waiver eligibility, required documents, and mailing addresses vary depending on the form you are filing and why you are filing. These tips will help ensure USCIS accepts your application package and forwards your case to a field office or service center for processing.

  • Our forms are available for free download in our forms section or by calling 1-800-870-3676. Never pay for a blank USCIS form.

Complete Your Form Accurately:

  • Use the most current form version.
  • When possible, download the form from our website and complete it with a computer.
  • If you hand write your answers, use black ink. Make sure your entries are neat, legible, and within the space provided.
  • We use special scanners to read your forms and documents. The scanners will not properly read information that is greyed out, highlighted or corrected using correction fluid or tape.

I'll follow this thread too as application only received last week of oct

Did you submit with Form G-1145 which allows the USCIS to send you a text or email after they accept your application and if you did send that form have they contacted you yet by email to text to advise that you app was accepted?

I'm not the filer so not 100% sure but we worked off a list. They did send both text and email though 27/10 so i guess that's a yes. The receipt number not valid yet ? So I can't check status
