ACR card requirements

Hello everyone, I have been living with my wife and children in the Philippines for just over 5 months now. I have a one year stamp so I'm still ok to stay here. I have to get an ACR card (Alien Certificate of Registration) if I want to stay longer than a year. I looked on the list of requirements, which is the following:

1 - Filled out BI form 2014-08-006 rev 0

2 - Certified true copy issued by the Records Section of the Board of Commisioners (BOC)'s Order granting the visa.

3 - photocopy of passport bio page

4 - photocopy of official receipt for applicable fees

5 - two 2x2 pics

Can anyone tell me what #2 is? What is this and where would I get it? Is it a copy of the BI form in #1? I want to have everything ready when I go there so I don't have to make two trips (driving anywhere in Manila is an all day event...)

Any help is greatly appreciated,

Thank you,

Mark & Fatima

You are in the Phils with a BB stamp? You are not there with a visa? You will not have a BOC order if you are there with a BB. You do not have to drive to Manila to do this, it can be done at a field office for BI

You can do a voluntary application for an ACR card:

If you plan to stay for a year or more your could get a 13a visa (being you are married to a Filipina) or you could do an over night trip to HK with your wife as you near the end of your year, then get a new BB stamp when you return... good for another year.

Has your wife acquired her U.S. citizenship yet?

I'm not sure what a BB stamp is? I was referring to the one year stamp in my passport (instead of the usual 21 day stamp, I got a one year stamp). My wife is not a U.S. citizen, and we're aware that her 10 year card will expire if she stays too long outside the U.S.

Can I still do the ACR or do I have to do the 13a? Is there an advantage to doing one over the other?

If I do go with the ACR, do you know what that #2 was I asked about earlier?

Thanks for your response!

Yes the BB is the Balikbayan stamp you got upon entry with your asawa.

You can do the voluntary ACR without getting a visa. ACR card is an ACR card. I will be getting an ACR card this trip so I can get a bank account in my name.

Different checklist ;) Here is the checklist (from my earlier post) for a voluntary ACR card... #2 is the completed form ;)
