USCIS says 120 days. Before 120 days they will just tell you to wait until after then. When I put My IOE number in the USCIS tracker it gives a date I should call them if by then I don't receive the green card. That date is 4 months from the date I paid the 165 fee. So it takes a while. Lucky if you get it sooner.

My husband's POE was July 7, 2016 at SFO. 106 days later, we haven't received his plastic green card. He received his Social Security card a few weeks after arriving. I've called USCIS a few times to check on the status, and they give me the same story every time - that I need to wait 120 days.

In the meantime, my status on the USCIS site changed to: "On August 12, 2016, the Department of State sent us your case, Receipt Number XYZ123456789, for review. We are reviewing it, and will notify you by mail when we are done." When I ask the USCIS reps about this, they have no explanation. This combined with not receiving the actual green card worries me. Digging around on this site, it seems like this may be nothing, but I'd feel better if we had the actual plastic green card in hand.

USC in France since 2/2012. Married 2/2013.

June 1 : I-130 sent from Paris by Lettre Suivie (bad choice)

June 12 : I-130 delivered (Chicago Lockbox)

June 16 : NOA1 dated June 15 received via text/email (assigned to California Svc Ctr)

June 23 : NOA1 received via mail in France

July 14 : NOA2 received via text/email

July 28 : NVC received our case (no case # or IIN yet)

Aug 24 : Called NVC, received case # and IIN. Submitted DS-261 and paid $120

Sep 5 : Received NVC Welcome Packet via mail in France

Sep 22 : Called NVC to ask why IV fee was not available to pay

Sep 23 : Received IV application invoice by email (not available to pay online yet)

Sep 24 : Paid IV fee online ($325)

Sep 27 : DS-260 completed

Sep 30 : AOS/IV Packets received by NVC (received identical confirmation emails Oct 3 and Oct 5)

Oct 28 : 3 N/As, confirmed Case Complete

Dec 2 : Called NVC to see why interview date not received. They said it was scheduled today.

Jan 22 : Medical visit with Dr Slattery.

Jan 28 : Interview at consulate. Approved!

Feb 8 : Visa packet received via post. (First attempt Feb 5).

Jul 7 : Point of Entry, SFO

Jul 30 : Social Security Card received

Hi All,

Did any one received Plastic GC recently through F2A visa. We have completed 155 days of fees paid and 60 days of POE

Days since fees paid not a factor; POE matters.

Hi All,

Today I noticed an update for my wife GC status " On October 31, 2016, we began producing your new card for your Form OS155A, Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration, Receipt Number IOEXXXXXXXX. We will mail your card to the address you gave us. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address"

Can you pls let us know how to track the card with IOE#? what will be the next step.

Days since fees paid not a factor; POE matters.

@KierenHby, Thanks and I agree POE will be considered rather than fees paid.

It might serve you to be a bit patient with the process. Something in production takes a few days to be created and shipped.

Irrespective of your earlier claim, it's only 56 days since poe, not 60. Your wife can work, travel international, etc.. do whatever a green card allows with the i551 stamp in her passport.

No way to track it really. It take a few weeks to get to you after it's in production. No set time frame

@KierenHby, Thanks for your response. I am more patience with the process thats why waited for 2 years to meet your family memebers and I am aware of the process too. The problem in our case is while immigration process the officer didn't stamped properly ( half stamped) because of that no month displayed on the stamp. When ever we are going to DMV they are not accepting it as a valid stamp as the month is not displayed and not sure about valid date. When we checked with immigration officer they told they can do stamping once only and if required they are asking DMV officer to talk to them. We can't print I-94 when you enter through F2A visa so until we get GC plastic card we ca't show to DMV. Near by USCIS office is 1:30 hour drive and near by appointment is not valid.

I am aware that stamped passport on F2A will serve as GC until plastic card, is some thing wrong rounding POE the number of days?

@ Keas, Thanks for your reference. Due to stamp issue on our passport we have spoken to level2 officer and he told in another 2 to 3 weeks I will receive card. Even officer told tracking number will be provided once its posted through USPS/Fedex. He asked me to connect if no update in another 2 weeks.

Once it's been sent the status will change and that's when you'll have the tracking number. So just a few more weeks then? I hope it comes sooner than expected.

@ Keas, Thanks for your response and hope receive the card soon. Recently I have noticed the below error while checking the status, not sure whether USCIS system is under maintenance/down.

"

Validation Error(s)

You must correct the following error(s) before proceeding:

  • User-Defined Error"

That happens sometimes. You can just keep checking. There's nothing else to do. Just wait. There's no way to check there's no way to speed it up. It's really just a waiting game unfortunately.
