Stay With Fiancee After NOA2

This may sound crazy but I hope I can explain it so it's understandable:

First, I an using a Visa Service who has a 100% success rate. All documents of importance have been uploaded to their dropbox which I can access anywhere. I can also access their menu to place my dates and numbers from anywhere.

I already have the NOA1 and am awaiting the NOA2. I plan to fly to the Philippines on Nov. 17 and should have the NOA2 by then. If not, it should be of no consequence sine it needs no action from me Correct ?

After that, if I understand correctly is the NVC which comes in the mail, Correct ? (Does that require any action?) I think it's all up to my fiancee after that right ?

Here's what we already have planned:

1.) I have friends (a married couple) who will stay at my house until I return. They will text/send photo of the NVC with number. They also know where any other documents might be to scan and put in my dropbox.

2.) I will stay with my fiancee in the Philippines until she has her visa so I can accompany her and pay for her physical and embassy visit. (All documents she may need can be printed from my dropbox.)

The big question is:

Is this all possible and can I handle the remainder from the Philippines ??

PLEASE, if anyone sees problems arising or any comments about this let me know !!!

Thanks!

Really ? So it IS possible ? I already have the financial documents in the dropbox. The Affadavit will be completed by the visa service and placed in the dropbox also where I can print it out (in the Philippines). The service said it was to early to fill out the Affadavit but all my documents look sufficient.

I'm also worried about getting the NVC number when it is issued. That comes in the mail ?

This (financial statement) also is needed by my fiancee and not me right ?

Thanks for your help A'n'L !!

You should never assume you won't get an RFE. Good thing you have someone in your house that can show you the RFE letter if you receive one.

Also remember to have copies of everything you already sent to USCIS, or originals that your friends can easily copy and send in case of an RFE. USCIS have lost documents in the past (it's more common than you'd think), so even if the package you sent is 100% correct, they can still lose your stuff and send you an RFE.

If you have been married before, do you have copies of the divorce decree in case they lose the first one you sent? It can take forever to order a new one (we had that "issue"), but perhaps your friends can fix that too if needed.

You can contact NVC no matter where you are in the world, I always contacted them via this link: https://secureforms.travel.state.gov/ask-nvc.php

As long as someone is keeping close watch on your mail, you can handle it from abroad. Worst case you might need to have some docs mailed. Your plan is not crazy, and certainly not something that hasn't been done before.

The NVC letter will come by mail, but you could also call them to receive the number (about 2-3 weeks after NOA2).

I don't know what you mean by "financial statement"?

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.

The USC is responsible for the i-134 (s/he needs to be able to prove that s/he can support the beneficiary). The beneficiary has nothing to do with that form apart from bringing it to the interview (but from what I've heard lately the embassy in PI doesn't even ask to see it).

I already have those documents in the drop box Scandi, it's just too early to fill it out. I'm retired and own a non-profit where I draw a salary. Proof of all that is also in the dropbox.

Kinda like the other stories on VJ about "award winning lawyers" who are also "experts on immigration" and yet their clients get wrong info and RFEs to left and right?

The fact that you paid a service to do all that "work" for you, but they weren't able to answer the questions that you asked us, should be your big hint about just how great they are. Anyways, your plan sounds fine.

I'd review the k-1 guide here one more time to ensure that I have all the things I need. And then I'd make sure I have numbers for my bank, my HR department, the visa folks, and anyone else who might have financial or legal documents you might need. The couple house sitting should also know where to locate/access any originals. I'm just curious, when did you get your NOA1? If you could fill in your timeline it will give you a rough estimate for receiving you NOA2 and will help others on the site as well. And it's very doable. I sent my fiancé all the documents he needed three months before his interview and he had no issues so yours should be acceptable (especially if you're there to sign new ones if needed).

K-1 from Haiti - NOA1: 5/27/2014; NOA2: 7/8 USCIS never updated to say that it was sent to the NVC (just in case you're as concerned about your status not updating as I was about mine)
NVC Case Number Received: 7/31; Left NVC: 8/1 - tracked via DHL website; CEAC Status - Ready: 8/7; Packet 3 Received: 9/5 - Beneficiary received packet / Medical Completed: 9/19;
DS-160 Submitted: 9/22 - (CEAC date updated); Packet 3 Submitted: 9/26; Packet 4 Received: 10/24; Interview Date: 11/6 @ 7 am Interview Result: Approved!
CEAC Status Issued: 11/10; USTraveldocs.com finally acknowledged Fiance's passport actually in their system: 11/20; Passport Received: 11/21;

POE: 11/23/2014; Wedding: 2/14/2015

AOS/EAD/AP Filed: 2/21/2015;

USCIS EAD & AP received: 2/25; USCIS AOS received: 2/27; Received NOA1s in mail: 3/5; Biometrics: 3/26; EAD/AP Card in Production: 5/11; EAD/AP Card Mailed: 5/1; EAD/AP Card Received 5/19; NPIW Letter dated: 6/11/15; Green card Approved: 10/1/15;

Green card Received: 10/7/15

Yes, the couple knows where everything is. I've gathered every conceivable document that I know of and more and have multiple copies of everything.

Where do I find the I don't know about having phone numbers to my bank, etc. as I haven't discovered how to make a call from the Philippines. My Straight Talk service doesn't work there on my cell. You know a good option for calling ?

Where do I fill in my "timeline" ? Received my NOA1 on Oct. 6. Not leaving here until Nov. 17 so maybe I'll have NOA2 by then.

The NOA2 requires no action, correct? Actually the NVC really doesn't require action either ? ....just the number to track where it's at ?
