Hi--I got our NOA2 in a text message. I haven't gotten snail mail verification yet. But, my question is: Since I have not gotten an email regarding this, does this mean that USCIS doesn't have my email address on file? I'm sure I sent it with our application, but have not had a word from USCIS via my email address. Now I'm worried that I won't get any word from NVC on email. Is this a justifiable worry?

You can call NVC when your case have arrived there and give them your e-mail address. No worries ;) Good luck on your visa journey.

You should just get the texts, but the delivery on whole is pretty awful. Some people never get their snail mail, some never get emails, others never get texts.

I know for us sometimes we'd get four or five texts at once for one thing, then maybe get two emails for the same thing WEEKS after texts went out. Computers are funny things.

September 1, 2010: Switched course from K1 to CR-1
December 8, 2010: Wedding date set; it will be on February 18, 2011!
February 9, 2011: Depart for China
February 11, 2011: Registered for marriage in Wuhan, officially married!!!

April 22, 2011: Mailed I-130 to Chicago
April 28, 2011: Received NOA1 via text/email, file routed to CSC (priority date April 25th)

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal
