Hello Everyone!

Soooo, we have a case number from the NVC and I'm assuming the paperwork has probably arrived at the Consulate in Casablanca.

What's next???? Do we just sit and wait until we hear from them? Can we submit the DS-160 in the meantime? Also, can anyone confirm around how long it takes to 1) get the info from the consulate and 2) schedule the interview?? Please only give me Casablanca Consulate specific information :)

Good luck to everyone!

Hi;

don't make assumption whie you can know everything in details.

check this website to know where is your case now : https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=o/iS8zDpeAKjMWCuebHqOw==

use immigrant visa and your NVC case number ... if it says ready then your file is at the embassy !

here is a forum where you can find Moroccan similar posts : http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/97-middle-east-and-north-africa/

and here is Moroccan embassy portal : http://www.visajourney.com/portals/index.php?country=Morocco

Good Luck on the rest of the process !

PS : file your timeline to get answers from Moroccan at the same stage as you are .. it will help to get the right answer !

I would say after 2-3 weeks after you got your letter from nvc in mail . You should email the embassy and see when your case can be scheduled . And if they don't reply email them after another 2 weeks. And they will email you everything .

Important Notice to Visa Applicants: After you have completed the DS-160, you must take these next steps below:

  • Print and keep the DS-160 barcode page. (You will not need to print the full application.)
  • You must schedule a visa interview appointment. (The U.S. Embassy or Consulate does not schedule an appointment for you.) Visit the U.S. Embassy or Consulate website where you will be interviewed for country-specific instructions.;
  • Pay the visa application processing fee. Review country-specific instructions on the U.S. Embassy or Consulate website

and yes, you should fill out the DS 160

Morocco specific financee needs the 2 criminal investigation reports (look at morocco embassy site to see the names)

tell financee to be calm, (do not smile as they consider this serious business), answer all questions without hesitating, do not say more than they ask for

know everything about you and i mean everything

Incha allah / all will go good

I'm stuck as well, it's been 5 weeks that my case arrived at the us consulate casablanca, and no sign from them. I just dont know what else to do besides I called every single number and sent e-mails with no results.

I have the same question as yours, do we file DS160 and set-up an appointement ourselves or do we just wait for the consulate to send after my fiancee?

Yeah, if there's anyone who has been through the whole process in Morocco, your input would be appreciated! Good luck Mohamed!

When I asked around they tald me that it's ok to file it and it want heart, and also I red in several places that the consulate responded on 2 or 3 days after these people filed the form. So what the hell is going to happen, and it's all a gamble any ways.

Alright. I think I will do the same! You are right, it's a gamble and it can go either way. It sucks to have to leave our lives up to a stranger... But hey!
