Status Won't Change From Ready to Issued

Hi Everyone - had an interview on Sept 12th at the Montreal Embassy and my status won't change from Ready to Issued for some reason... ? I can see it was changed to Ready after I was approved on September 12th... but no action since. I was told I'd receive my Visa and Passport in 2 weeks and that is not looking likely now. Anyone know what the issue might be?

If anyone else can chime in on this matter I'd greatly appreciate it. Many thanks.

I know it's hard to be patient but hang in there. It really is different for everyone. I got mine the day after the interview. Some get theirs 3 months after. Maybe you could email the embassy and ask? Vj'ers feel free to correct me :)

Good luck!

@SophieParker - Thank you for your reply. What's throwing me off is that I was told I was approved, was handed a welcome letter, and told that the visa would arrive in two weeks. The status updated to "Ready" right after my interview on the same day (It was showing "Ready" before that too, but the "status update date" changed to the date of the actual interview). In other words, the CO would have manually updated it after my interview. Since then, I was expecting it to go from Ready to AP (as everyone says that's what happens), and then back to ready and then to issued. However, nothing has happened... it's still showing "ready".... and that's all. I'm wondering why my status hasn't changed at all.

Hey Adam

Yeah, the timing part can be a lil unnerving. They told us we were approved and said my passport would be with them for about a week and then we got it the next day. I'm not complaining. I'm ecstatic. However, my point is that it's so unpredictable and has its own weird timing. It's a good sign that you've got the welcome letter tho. Perhaps they're just a lil slow at updating their info in the CEAC database? I do feel for you. I know that it can be frustrating after months and months of paperwork and waiting. Just hang in there ok. Give it a few more days. Or like I said, maybe email the embassy. :)

Ps. Congratulations on getting your visa! :)

So if it changed to ready on September 22nd then what was it showing before that for status? What visa type are you applying for if I may ask?
