While we Wait for our Case Number

Hello Everyone,

We finally received an update on USCIS that our I129F was approved. Yaaaay! It'll probably be about a week before I receive the hard copy in the mail, and then another week before I can call to ask for the case number.

While we wait, I'll be gathering my financial statements and copy of the I29F packet, new letter of intent to marry, and letter from employer to send to him. (Did I miss anything?)

Is there anything that he can be doing while in the next 2 weeks while we wait for the case number? For instance, can he start working on the passport, or gathering certain documents, or at least organizing certain information? Just want to keep the momentum going.

Thank you so much!

Jackie

I'm not sure what you mean by "working on his passport", but if he doesn't have one - now is the time to get one! He should also make sure his vaccinations are complete and documented, obtain his birth certificate and police records to bring to his interview.

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.

If you complete your profile with the country that you will be processing through it will help others answer your questions with more specific answers. You see, each Embassy is a little different on how they handle things but the I-129f is common for everyone. Just a suggestion.

Simple steps to change your profile; Select your picture>Edit Your Profile located under your picture and scroll to the bottom of that page to "immigration profile" and you will see "Immigration Status". Use the drop down box to choose your visa type. Then save and that's complete. While you are there, maybe there some other requests that you can fill in.
