G-325A Questions

I am the US Citizen filing for my British husband and was wondering if someone could help with clarifying the following:

1. For the question, "This form is submitted in connection with an application for" on the G325A form, should I be checking off "Other" and typing in "I-130 petition" or should I check off "Status as Permanent Resident" on the form? What option should be selected on my British husband's G-325A form?
2. For the 2x2 photographs, I've seen posts where photos were rejected without A #s on the back. Should I include "A#: None" on the back of my husband's photo or is his name, date of birth and passport number enough?

Answers:

1. Tick "other" and write "Form I-130"
2. I've never heard of such a thing before as it relates to the spousal visa process, go ahead and write "No A number" if you wish.

Seems like http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/609130-i-130-g-325a-almost-ready/ pointed to choosing "status as permanent resident" and so did this sample form http://www.visajourney.com/examples/INS-Form-G-325A-aos.pdf which was why I was a bit confused.

Guess I'll go with "Other" and "I-130" since that seems to be the majority vote

What? No. "Status as Permanent Resident" is correct.

Maybe others have successfully completed applications choosing other and i-130, so I'm not saying that it's not possible, but that's not how it's intended to be done. My employer does immigration work and "Status as Permanent Resident" is always the selection.

Most people on this forum check other and write form I-130 and have zero issues. I did this as well. Again no issues and technically for the USC checking permanent residence would be incorrect anyhow. Edited September 12, 2016 by NikLR
