How long does a Psychological exam take?

My fiance will likely have to do a psych. exam due to wrist scars from ten years ago.

My questions are:

1) How long will we have to wait between the medical and the psych exam?

2) Is it a one day thing? Or will it go on for a while?

Since she doesn't live in Luzon, I have to plan how long she need to stay in Manilla... but because of this pysch business I don't know how long to plan for.

It's not just the exam. Plan on having to provide all kinds of documentary evidence of current and past treatment programs if any. Records from doctor's, hospitals, etc. Also past and current medications. It's all up to the medical examining doctor as to how far they want to take it or if it is a non issue. They are probably going to assume your fiancee has a history of anxiety and depression.

Recently scheduling has been spotty. Expect 2-4 weeks for schedule and one day interview.

Use the search box in the upper right corner for others experience have gone before you.

My fiance just finished day 2 of the SLEC evaluation and she was scheduled for her psyche eval on the 9th. She asked and was told that was the earliest. Her interview at the USEM is on the 13th.

Are you able to say why she was sent for the psych exam?

My girl's issue are wrist cuts from when she was young (about ten years ago). I don't know if this is a big deal or not for getting the visa.

Based on knowing someone that had a history similar to what you are describing. It comes down to making sure the person in question is not considered harmful to themselves or others. No shortcuts on this, no speeding up the process, no second guessing. You need to sit back and wait and see what they want and if they think it is a problem. Please do not make any advanced plans in this situation. I'm not saying this is a bad situation and you won't get an approval. I do however think your going to get a lot of scrutiny and over a period of time not just one visit.
