I met my fiancee through yahoo chat rooms back in 2007. I'm in the process of petitioning her so I can marry her. I was told that I have to attach a document to the petition stating that yahoo complies with IMBRA. Does anyone know how I can get this document? I contacted yahoo, and they redirected me to their help channels. Their helps channels have no info that can help me.

Please help thank you

Abram

I don't believe so. Yahoo is not a marriage broker. The differentiation of marriage broker is very narrow. If Filipino cupid, doesn't meet the classification of marriage broker, I don't see how yahoo chat could.

I meant my fiancee on FilipinoCupid and I marked no to the IMBRA question. Our visa was just approved and is on it's way to Manila. I hope that helps you.

If you have met within the last two years and have pictures and a long history you should be able to go through the K1 process and not have to worry about the whole marriage broker thing or IMBRA
