I filled my I130 on August 5th. We received the NOA1 one week later. My last name was misspelled, so we had to request a correction. Our petition was sent to Potomac and on September 26th we received NOA2.

I filed in August.

8/17/16 Texas Service Center received the I130 for my wife in the Philippines.

Around 8/30/16 I received the NOA1. Today (October 13, 2016), the website shows the case has been approved.

I think it depends on the service center. I am from the Philippines and our application is in Nebraska which average 5 months. No movement with mine, though we got an RFE.

Wish I know how they make it.. Ours pd was Aug 24. Still no noa2. So maybe not all from Philippines get prioritized. I wonder if they filed for cr1 coz it's really faster than ir1.

The forms are the same.... I-130 BUT the visa - green card is different.

The difference is:

Married for less than 2 years at the time of getting immigrant visa (CR-1), entering the US with immigrant visa, a conditional green card will be issued. That person would have to remove conditions after 2 years of GC issuance.

Married for more than 2 years, is awarded IR-1 immigrant visa - status with no conditions.
