Hello all!

My husband and I are just about finished with all our paperwork and are soon going to send in our concurrent i-130/i-1485. I'm just a little confused about where and how we pay? I did find this page: http://www.visajourney.com/content/paying-immigration-fees and see that there are options for card and check.

Does anyone know exactly how I will be able to pay with card? Or will I only be able to pay by check and if only by check, how do I exactly do that?

Moreover, I also was able to find this page: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/75836-reminder-july-30th-2007-new-filing-fees-in-effect/ but wanted to make sure that we know how much money it is that we are paying.

i-130: $355

i-485: $1010

is that correct? Also, we are unsure if we should file for the EAD right now (as the $340 cost does scare us a little bit)--would it be possible to just send that in later and separately if we change our mind?

Sorry for this handful of questions! Any input as always is greatly appreciated!

here's details on how to pay the fees: https://www.uscis.gov/forms/paying-immigration-fees

The cost of the I-130 is $420. The I-485 is $985 plus $85 for biometrics for a total of $1070. Both forms together is $1490 which you can send as one check.

Applying for EAD ( Form I765) or AP (Form I131) is free when you file the I485 so you can go ahead and send those along. AP is for travel authorization which the petition is pending.

You should read the instructions for the actual forms. They give the current fees. You should always read through the instructions for any form you are going to file.

I-130 is $420 https://www.uscis.gov/i-130

I-485 is $1070 https://www.uscis.gov/i-485

I-765 and I-131 for the EAD and AP cost nothing when filed with a pending I-485. Read the Special Instructions on the USCIS I-485 download page.

How to pay the fees is also listed in the instructions. Check or money order.

lol yes I know how checks work. But, just wanted to make sure that there weren't any weird specifications for it besides including the check in our package.

There is the one weird specification for checks to USCIS to spell out "U.S. Department of Homeland Security", not USDHS, not USdhs, not American Dept. of HS, and definitely not U to the D to the HSec, woot woot!. :)

Good luck.

Hello! My husband and I are filing a concurrent i-130/i-485. I checked the list as laid out here on VJ and we were wondering what is the Supplement A for form i-485 and if we should bother filling it out?

More info: we recently got married, and I am a USC. We are trying to AOS asap :)
