Hi to all,

yesterday I had my IR-1/CR-1 interview at the embassy and I think everything went well except at the end the CO told me that everything is good but they just need to do an FBI clearance for me because of my previous immigration violations(back in 2002 I EWI and stayed more than a year so I had a ban of 10 years wich was up in November 2014). the whole thing was a little confusing because she didn't hand me any 221g letter and she also kept my passport. She even told me I can call my wife and tell her that everything went fine.Does anybody know what should I expect from now on regarding time that they need to do that clearance? She told me 7-10 days...is that it or this is what they always say...?I read in other posts that FBI clearance takes much more than 7-10 days especially when you have previous immigration violations.Anybody can give me any information or advice or opinion on that?Much appreciated...
