Let me give you a brief background about me and my fiance. We met 2007 in a soiree, I am from an exclusive for girls school while he is from an exclusive for boys school. We became lovers that same year too, we were highschool then. They had to migrate to the US and that made us go through LDR. We worked it out for nearky two years then broke up. After 4 years, we reconciled. We are now 4 years again and are now engaged. Last 2014, he went back here to the Philippines to pursue a new course which is LPN and also spend time with me and experience how it takes to be a real couple. ☺

Given our situation now that he is coming back, we filed our I129F last June to atleast lessen the LDR...again.he is going back the US this Friday. Once we get our NOA 2 my question is do we file for a co-sponsorship? How effective is that? The only worry I really have is that he is technically re-starting life in the US. Howevee,he has savings both here in the Ph and miami. He worked in Miami for the longest time so he has kept W2s. Its just that he was unemployed for two years. Given the situation, what do we do? Well he is def getting a job soon as he gets there. Now we just need to figure our how we can make a strong case that he can support me bec. We strongly feel that eveeything we have is genuine. We've kept love letters from the past and even our pictures in school uniforms ?? Any tips if you've been in this situation?

he needs to get a job in US and to find a cosponsor, ask him to try his church, church members sometimes are more easy to help and now it's his job too to collect all the documents and file I-129, your job will be in your country after NOA2

Hi Tasha, thanks for your time in replying.can his mom do? Also, we've filed i129F already and receieved NOA1 last June.

His mom can co-sponsor. I was in the same situation but I filed CR-1. I graduated, we got married, filed CR-1 a few months after, my parents are the co-sponsors since I'm still waiting to take NCLEX, and now we're approved. You'll both be fine

yes, his mom can do it and he needs to explain to her, it's mostly a formality, Affidavit of Support sounds as it's a big responsability but it's not because even if the beneficiary goes on welfare, usually the government doesn't go to sponsor or cosponsor to ask for money back, so signing it it's OK.

Congrats you filed in June, June filers are getting approved now, you will be very soon together
