Hello,

We have filed our AOS application including EAD and AP on July 5th which is withing the 90 days time limit.

We have received an e-notification with receipt number indicating that the application has been accepted and would receive a receipt in mail within 7-10 days.

We have been waiting very patiently since then but nothing showed up! and worse of all we have been unable to even check the case status online. It'd always say ERROR!

We did send an email to inquire about the situation but there was no response so we called them but all they had to say is it could take up to 30 days. You can imagine our frustration while seeing that everyone gets it so fast online lol...

Anywaysss, here we are about 30 days later with nothing showing up yet in the mail nor we are able to check that case status online and we are starting to get really worried!

Anyone who has an idea what could be the reason or what we should do?

Anyone perhaps with a similar situation?

I appreciate the help!

thank you! :)

Since you received the NOA1, you should be good. Most of us had to wait longer than what you waited to have our receipts work online. Just because you got the receipt numbers doesn't mean they'll work right away. Our cases (I-485, I-765, I-131) were sent on April 19 and received on the 21st. The I-485 receipt started working on June 3rd, a few days after the biometrics. And the EAD on July 16th. AP on July 18th.

Good luck!

I do understand that it takes a while. It's true that we got email and text notification but did not get the hard copy.

We are only worried it has been sent and lost in the mail which would be delaying us specially if it was RFE or Biometrics appoinment document.

Hello,

We have filed our AOS application including EAD and AP on July 5th which is withing the 90 days time limit.

The 90 day limit is for you to get legally married after entering the USA on a K1 Visa. If you marry within 90 days, you can file for AOS/ I-485 pretty much whenever you want after those 90 days have elapsed. Makes more sense to file ASAP simply because once filed, for legal/ federal purposes you will be viewed a permanent resident while your application is pending. If you don't file for AOS after marrying via a K1, you are sitting in a no-mans land and won't have permanent resident legal rights.

N400 Naturalization

Applied - 07/21/2022

NOA - 07/21/2022

Biometrics - Re-used

Interview - 11/03/2022 (Passed!)

Oath Ceremony - 11/08/2022
