That's much faster than the Seattle office!    I wish I lived in Portland!  

 

I sent a paper application (and in line status now), but it seems like the Seattle office isn't processing online applications any faster so it probably makes little difference in my case.

Corrected @wavj's approval date, and gave the list a bump so we can find it next week - hopefully there will be more approvals next week than there were this week!

Portland filed office is two months ahead of Seattle field office when it comes to N-400. Good luck to you and hopefully you get interview notice before Christmas Take care, Regards.

Seems like CSC August processing has kind of stalled again, and the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday doesn't help either. My guess is that they probably will start adjudicating after Thanksgiving towards the end of this month. It is unfortunate that CSC finally reached August, but immediately slowed down again. Personally, it probably won't affect me because they will most likely skipped my 751(NOA 8/8/2016) for 400 adjudication, but for people whose ultimate goal is 400 and have not applied for it because of pending 751, it may put them on the tough spot as to whether just to apply for 400 or continue to take a chance and keep waiting for 751 not knowing when CSC is going to start moving forward. It is kind of messy due to this unprecedented CSC delay. I have given up waiting for 751 a long time ago and have been focusing on 400. It has been almost 3.5 months since they received my 400, and my 400 has been in line for an interview since 9/28 this year. I am looking forward to May for June for the 400 interview, can't wait. Hope CSC will move the needle forward soon for all August filers. Fingers crossed.

I was wondering if you could explain how come you can apply for n400 form before the i751 approval? I have been married to a US citizen for 3 years now, but I thought I have to have at least 3 years after the removal of conditional status before applying for n400.

Nope - it's 3 years (and you qualify to file at 3yrs less 90 days) from the beginning of your residency (ie 3 years from the "Resident Since:" date on your 1st green card). As long as you have been a LPR in the US for 3 years and have been married to a USC for 3 years, and you've been in the same state for at least 3 months, you can file N-400 even if your I-751 has not been approved.

 

(It does seem, anecdotally, that it may keep you from ever getting your 10yr green card and you go straight from I-751 pending to citizenship, though)

San Francisco´s office is even slower than Seattle´s.

I finally got my info pass appointment to get my I-551 stamp for this Wednesday, after monitoring the USCIS website for one week.

I wish they could do the combo interview, and take the citizenship test ,right on the spot, like a random Thanksgiving approval!!!!!

Because CSC has been experiencing a never before seen delay, it is taking 15 to 18 months in average now to process 751. Many of us were obviously eligible to apply for 400 after being a conditional resident for 3 years minus 90 days, and one is also allowed to apply for 400 if 751 ia still pending. And yes, to be able to apply for 400, you have to have been married for 3 years. (Counting from the first day you got your conditional green card, 3 years-90 days.)

New Card arrived in the mail today! I have my 10yr green card in my hands at last! Now just waiting for this semester to be over to have time to file for N-400 before Christmas.
