Hey, everyone!!

I have an infopass appointment this week with The local USCIS office and I went there today to ask the documents I need to bring (as some of you guys already know, my GC never arrived) in order to get an I-551 stamp on my passport while I am still waiting for my GC. The officer told me all I needed was:

Appointment confirmation page

Proof of state residence

The thing is: I don't have a state Drivers license or any kind of ID issued by the state I live in!!!!! I have, however, a lease contract of the place I currently live and an utility bill from the place I lived until 2 weeks ago. They officer told me "it should be fine". Has anyone gone through similar situation?? Will those documents suffice this requirement? Thank you!!!!

Oh my.

I am confused on why you went to infopass and did not get the stamp while you were there (?) Or why you didnt ask the officer this question.

Anyway- the point of having state id is to show you are in their jurisdiction. Technically they can give a stamp to anyone but they prefer people to go to the correct office. So I suggest bringing any and/or all proof you have of your new address. If the officer gives you a hard time ask for the supervisor.
