When will you usually recieve an "RFE" after your NOA1?

Just wondering how soon or late did you find out about or not find out about an RFE?

My i-129f got sent to CSC 6 weeks ago and I have not recieved any notification from them requesting further evidence, I am hoping no news is good news,

Please share with me when did you get your RFE, How soon after your NOA1. Thanks.

No news is justno news unfortunately. You won't get a RFE until your case is touched. Given that actual case processing time is typically just minutes/hours - RFEs are typically sent at the same time as NOA2s for cases filed around the same time.

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.

 

K1 process

9/24/15: I129f sent

9/30/15: NOA1

11/2/15: NOA2

Delayed processing due to work

3/15/16: Medical

4/28/16: Interview (approved)

Delayed entry due to work

8/12/16: POE Detroit

 

9/4/16: Wedding!

 

AOS process:

9/9/16: I485/I131/I765 sent

9/14/16: Received 3xNOAs by text/e-mail (day 2)

9/14-18/16: Received 3xpaper NOAs 

9/23/16: Received biometrics appointment letter (day 11)

10/3/16: Biometrics appointment (day 19)

11/4/16: EAD+AP approved (day 53)

11/16/16: EAD status changed to card shipped (day 65)

11/17/16: EAD/AP combo card received (day 66)

12/30/16: Notice of interview scheduled (day 109)

2/1/17: AOS interview (day 142) - APPROVED

2/8/17: GC received (day 150)

 

ROC process:

11/3/2018: ROC window opens

Oh okay, showed how little I knew, I thought its already being processed at CSC and if something was missing or they needed more CSC would "RFE" me before forwarding the file to NVC, I guess I read somewhere that its not just sitting there on a desk in a pile, they actually are checking background of information provided on me the sponsor, thanks so much for clearing this up.

Nah, 99 % of the time spent at CSC, your case is in some pile waiting its turn. Once they actually start working on it, it's usually quick. Yes, there are background checks and they look through all the paperwork, but it's usually very little time spent on each case.

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.

 

K1 process
