Has anybody been to Knightsbridge doctors in London, and been told they can get their vaccinations from their local doctor as long as they get a print out that they have the vaccination? Which I got.

I now fear I have missed an important step? Do I need a medical professional to sign off on it other than my local doctor from the UK? At the time I did not see this I-693 form in the instructions. Who do you go to in the US for that?

Thanks

I had my medical last Friday and had my travel vaccination card updated with the vaccines that the nurse at my local surgery gave me and they stamped it at the reception for me, it was accepted when I got to Knightsbridge and had no problems. Hope that reassures you.

If you get your vaccinations before your Knightsbridge appointment, then they are all signed off on an official immigration form by an approved Panel Physician. Any shots received later have to be signed off by a Civil Surgeon on Form I-693. USCIS does not take documents signed by your GP as proof of immunization completion.

Knightsbridge is notorious for giving incorrect info to K1s about the AOS requirements.

Thanks mate. I thought thats what I'd have to do. Found a few local civil surgeons. Doesn't seem too difficult after all.

Much appreciated

Not difficult if they don't insist you must have another full medical exam and charge you $$$. Ask the price for only documenting your immunizations before making an appointment. Read the instructions for the I-693 concerning K1s so you are not duped with poor information again.

I had my GP update my vaccinations for free and got a printout, Knightsbridge will charge for any vaccines that you will need. Only one I didn't have done was BCG so that was done here in the USA at the cost of $161 including the medical. I also was tested for HIV, STD's etc because, again, they are free in the UK.
