Hi,

I am wondering if anyone else is having the same slow time processing between noa2 and NVC receiving/processing.

I got my NOA2 on June 9th 2016, and received the hard copy letter the following week - which states I should allow 30 days for processing. However I have seen based on information on VJ that most people are issued a case number at NVC 2-3 weeks after NOA2.

I called NVC at my 3 week mark and they advised they had not received it and that it can take up to 6 weeks for them to receive from USCIS - which totally contradicts the information on the NOA2. I called them again at the 4 week mark and still they have no record.

I don't really want to wait until 6 weeks to discover that it may be lost in the system? And also think they are saying 6 weeks just to stop me calling them.

So really I just want to know if other people are in the same time frame or if I should really push for more information?

June 8th approval and NVC tells me the same exact thing as you. Just hit my 4 week mark today :( I see some people have already reached NVC with really similar or even later noa2 approval dates but not me yet :(

Hopefully we get there soon let's keep each other updated. They're being really slow even though I also seen people get it within 2 weeks or so. Good luck to us all.

I know! That's always the frustrating part, seeing other cases with similar timelines moving forward but not your own.

Fingers crossed it will happen any day now.. :clock:

Hey! Congrats! I called also today (the 6th of July) around 5:30 pm .... What number are you calling the non immigrant line or the immigrant line. People say the k1 is considered immigrant because it has immigrant intent , and on NVC website it's categorized under immigrant visa so I tried calling the immigrant line today but it still wasn't there they keep saying call next week- they told me that last week also though and still not there.

Going to try again today glad you reached there , also what time did you call?

Hi there. We were also approved last june 92016 and still waiting for the nvc to receive our papers. When my fiancee called after 3 weeks from actual receipt of the NOA2, the agent said they still do not have it and it takes 6 weeks for them to get it.
