Hello everyone!

We mailed sent our I-129F on 07-06-16

Got email and Text on 07-11-16

and received our NOA1 dated 07-11-16 two days later.

I filed with USCIS Texas Service Center but routed to California as well. Now it's just a matter of anxiously waiting!

The more I read this forum, the more scare I get scared to get a RFE. Example: I didn't notarize our statement of intent to marry (not a requirement but preferred), forgot to date and explain each photo I sent, etc.. Though I have read it really depends on the circumstances of each couple and the person that process the I-129F, it really helps to be very specific and detailed in the application. My hope is not to get a RFE but, we will see.

My best wishes to everyone in this forum. I am sure you all are as anxious as we are.

Hmm I didn't notarize my letter of intent to marry either. I don't think you need to. I did explain and date the photos but it was hand written, not typed so I hope they accept those. I think those are not required either at this stage. So hopefully you will be ok.

Hey everyone! (Amazing story Valabum) I mailed off my petition to Lewisville yesterday! I am happy to join the July family in the waiting game!

I am currently impatiently waiting for my NOA1!!! I just want to know they accepted it! After that I think waiting for the approval will be much easier for me! For some weird reason I am more nervous that I missed something simple like a signature (even though I checked over 50 times) and that they will just immediately send it back to me than anything else.

Happy waiting to us all and here is to wishing for speedy approvals for us all!!!

We didn't notarize our letters of intent either. I strictly went by the checklist provided by USCIS.

The main things I'm worried about is that they never made suggestions of how many photos to send, or what was considered "excellent" proof of our visit together within 2 years. I, for instance, sent my boarding passes and a copy of every single receipt I received for every little thing I bought (even Tylenol!). I even included a receipt where I'd withdrawn £50 from my bank account at an ATM in the town my fiancé lives. Can it get more obvious than that?! What else could I have done - mailed him my debit card?! Haha!

I'm mainly worried about any and all things USCIS left up to me to figure out. I didn't send many photos of us together because that seemed so redundant. I imagine most people think more photos will bolster their case but I was thinking more along the lines of cutting out the fluff and just getting to the point. So here's a few selfies for your viewing entertainment. Haha!

I hope we get an officer who appreciates that kind of thing. if not, I'll tell them it was only trying to follow the "Paperwork Reduction Act!" Ha!

Valabum,

I have good news to put you at ease. Before I sent my file I asked that exact question in the UK forum. Most people only sent 5 or 6 pictures together and I only sent 4! Jon and I hate having our picture taken and we only took some because we knew we had to!

London is considered one of the easier embassies so we don't really have to front load the petition as much as other countries so don't stress about it! Sounds like you are covered!

Like I said before, I am personally more stressed about getting the NOA1 than my approval NOA2, which is weird I know. I am also more stressed about the embassy interview when we hopefully get to that stage. I am OCD and that part is completely out of my control so I will surely be extra frazzled if/when we get to that stage.

I sort of went overboard in my application and sent in 26 pages of taped 4x6's along with 153 pages of evidence (total application was 236 pages, not including cover pages for each section). I didn't want there to be any possible risk of an RFE.or for the consulate to deny the existence of evidence.

and checking, our application was already delivered at 4.28 am today, July 25th, waiting for NOA 1 and check cashed this week
