Currently on the plane with fiancé heading to SFO after spending two weeks with her and family the holidays. I thought this would be the one trip I leave without getting emotional but it was sad for everyone to see her go. Excited for the next stage though! Looking forward to writing the POE review.

Visa arrived at my fiancées house today!!!!! Whew - that was quite a wait with the holidays in the way! I thought it would never arrive!

 

Now he just has to clear up his odds and ends at home. Heres hoping we'll be together for good this month!!!!!!!!!

Thank you guys.

 

The entry process was smooth. The customs line was split in two at the end and I noticed on one side one of the officers was power tripping and threatening a poor man struggling with English. We decided to go the opposite direction and ended up having a super friendly officer that let us through with no issues.

 

Now time for some much needed rest

just want to say thanks for the guidance and VJ. We got married on Dec 24th. I would post picture once I figure out to that. We didnt tell many people because we hope to have a cultural wedding for family and friends. 

 

CRamak I am praying for you guys! And others as well.

 

We are now onto the next step of AOS which I am currently preparing documents for.

CRamak, file is not moving, was touched several times, looks like positive, they are probably processing it for visa, check ceac site

Congratulations Poubon...we also didn't tell many people since we want to have a wedding with everyone in Australia. 

 

Tasha...so happy you're preparing for AOS. I might have questions. Because I'm in Los Angeles, our wedding certificate was supposed to arrive within 4-6 weeks (of course, it didn't), so we had to go pick up a copy. We're assembling our packet tonight.

Sooo we learned today they don't mail your license at all! They mail the original to Sacramento and we never see it. Only certified copies can be obtained and only from the office in the county you married- which is annoying, because we married in Ventura County and have had to make the 150mile round trip 3x to get ours, and it made us miss the 23rd deadline ; ;

That must be incredibly annoying to find that out. I am pretty sure our counties here are the same way 0.0

 

Good News though!!! We were at Jon's interview today and we are approved!!!!! They let me in as well after the nice girl outside called in to check! They didn't have me on the list, even though we emailed a request! Will post a review later!!!
