Hi fellow vj members. My husband's interview experience was good. If at all possible try to visit as often as possible and acquire evidence to support this. Not sure how long this process will take but am willing to endure until the end. Just persevere and keep the faith. Good luck on your journey.

Wow thanks a lot. I was just wondering if the lines were long. Is the Medical a hassle. After receiving your NOA2, will I get the packet or will he get it. I know that mail is slow and not as reliable as the US. Who would you recommend for the medical. And my fiancé does mind traveling a lot. I'm wondering would I be permitted in the interview with him or how that would work. Just trying to be prepared. And I hope that you guys come out of AP real soon. And truly with God all things are possible.

Yes my husband said there seemed to be over 100 persons present for interviews that day. The lady who interviewed him was nice. She explained that she was not in a position to approve him and that we would be contacted shortly. As stated in my previous response please make sure you visit your fiance as much as possible and have supporting documentation. Please check the Senegal portal for info for doctors to schedule medical exam.

Ok I will try and do that. I was also thinking about having him apply for a Visitor Visa while we were pending so that we would have more face to face time. I hate flying. I checked the website and it says that you can have an interview for that in about 25 days. But from what I read it looks like getting one is so unlikely. So I didn't look into any further. My fiancé is basically so relaxed about every thing and says everything will eventually work out but I worry a lot. But thanks a lot of the advice I appreciate it.

Not a snow balls chance in hell he will get a visitor visa with a pending petition. It's best you are on the premises for the interview

even if aren't allowed into the area where it is held. If you go have your fiance tell them upon approaching the interview window

that you are waiting outside and would like to be present for the interview if possible.
Package instructions come with email not snail mail.

Does anyone have any idea of how long it takes for the case status to change from 'in transit' to 'ready'? We've been waiting for 20 days and have not gotten any responses, from the embassy, to our email case inquiry. And each time we call.....the phone just rings or goes to voicemail. The one time we were able to talk to someone on the phone, they told us we were too late because they were only open 8am - 10am during Ramadan.

I figured as much. That's really wishful thinking. Being in the US all my life, I was totally blind to the whole process. When me and fiancé decided to marry, I was just like ok I I'll find out the process and do the paperwork. I had no idea about all the fraud, all the paperwork, all the waiting and more waiting. I was totally blind-sighted to all this. I will definitely try and make arrangements to get there. And that's funny, snail mail. Lol

Did they tell you when to come pick it up later ? Didn't you ask why the delay and when to pick it up ?

Sounds like they are doing some security/background checks and they will put you in AP.
