Hi,

My wife came to USA on F2A visa (I-551 green card) at JFK airport on April 08 2016. Its been almost 2 months but she din't received Green Card nor SSN in mail.

I applied for SSN in DS-260 form and paid soon after she interviewed at US Consulate. Her F2A was processed by Vermont Center.

Can you please advice how much time it takes to receive them.

Thanks,

Green Card can take a little longer, but the SSN should have come by now. Unfortunately, checking the box in the DS-260 only works about 50% of the time.

Go to your local Social Security Office (she must do this in person), and she will be able to see if her card is in process. If not, she can apply in person, and should get her card within 2 weeks.

Good luck!
