Logged in to CEAC today to see my IV fee marked as PAID and IV application marked as available. Filled it out, submitted it, and mailed my DS-2001 to the embassy. I will wait a week (still waiting to hear back from my congresscritter) before submitting my expedite request.

Contacted NVC and my congressman, apparently expedites are determined by the receiving embassy, so I went ahead and emailed it, and my congressman is going to also send something along to encourage it.

I contacted NVC and asked them to expedite our case. I received an email back from them telling me that the embassy has approved the expedite as soon as all the documents are sent in. My husband is in Mexico, so we are gathering police reports as we need local, state, and federal. and the federal has to be done within 3 months of the interview. so thats all we have left to obtain is the federal report, which is only issued in mexico city. so he has to fly there to get it. then get the translations and then i can mail them in to the nvc in nh. i will fill out the DS-2001 form at the same time. some days all i feel like i do is paperwork and give everyone else my paycheck just to someday get my husband here with me. I am having surgery tomorrow and its awful not having him here.

I hear you - it feels like it's taken forever, and I definitely could have used that $500 for something else, but it's worth paying to have my wife and kids here.

How long did it take from when you sent the expedite request to when they approved it?

Well it's the end of another day, offices will be closed until Monday. PD June 29 thinking about waiting another week before calling uscis

Have you put in a request to have your case reviewed? Your PD is well past the Texas Service Center's processing date (July 4).

Do note expediting mean's its more on you to make sure you bring all the proper paperwork to the interview. The NVC then no longer verify or review the paperwork they just send it to the embassy. They basically take a quick peek "Everything seems to be here"

If expedited bring all copies you ever sent to the NVC to the interview and more if you need too.

I wish you guys all the best of luck though! I wish more of you could've been accepting your visa's when my wife got hers since we filed at the same time.
