Hi all,

I feel like I've read that it takes 5 days for the results of the medical to reach the embassy. I have also just read that it takes 6 weeks. I may be reading things wrongly and getting mixed messages but I thought I was being careful.

Now, I filled out all the online stuff, got my medical appointment on May 5th, went to my appointment but only submitted the notification of applicant readiness after the appointment (another mistake I think).

After submitting that form I just followed the screens and it allowed me to schedule an appointment, so I scheduled for June 7th (just under 5 weeks later). I was a bit confused as I thought they would send a letter or something from what I had been reading online, but I guess it could be outdated info.

Does anybody in the know, or with better observational skills than I, know if I have got too excited and scheduled it too early?

Furthermore, if I went to the interview and they refused it because my medical info has not arrived, is is that a case of 'its all over' or re-schedule?

Thanks :)

London procedures changed May 3.

Before: Your medical report arrived at embassy 3-4 days after your exam. You waited for London to receive the report then pick a date and inform you. The average wait from having your medical to attending your interview was six weeks because it took some time for them to assign your date and there was a bit of time until the appointment when you got the letter.

Now: You make your medical appointment then go online to pick your own interview date. There won't be an interview open for the next day so you pick from the first available. Some have found openings four weeks later. You found five weeks. Your medical results will be there 3-4 days after your appointment unless you are held up over a medical issue. If your results aren't there, your visa issuance will be on "pause" until they receive the report. .

Thanks for the reply Nick.

That sounds pretty consistent with what I've read. Except I scheduled the appointment through the online system the day after my medical and chose the date myself. I think this online system is relatively new.

Because I picked the date and didn't receive anything to confirm they got my report, I sent myself into a bit of a panic.

I really should just stop freaking out and go with the info on the embassy site, which is 5 days

Isn't that exactly what I said?? The procedure for getting a London interview is brand new as of May 3. Picking your own date online is exactly how it is done.

Hi thank you for sharing this information. Does that mean that when you scheduled an interview you created an account using the following option

"I have received a letter from the consular section with instructions to register or schedule a K visa appointment."

even if you haven't received any letter?

Every time I go to schedule the interview it says I need a letter from them telling me to schedule it. Is this true? Medical is scheduled and application for readiness completed.
