Hello,

My fiance and I were approved for a K-1 visa once before, but we didn't get married within 90 days. We simply needed the extra time due to some unfortunate circumstances. From the moment she left in January my heart has not felt whole. We are madly in love, and we are worried that we won't have the opportunity to be approved again.

My question is - has anyone also applied twice? And does the process change the 2nd time around? Any tips or advice is much appreciated.

-Charlie

Why not get married in your own time and file for CR-1? You won't be under time pressure to get married then.

Added: just seen your previous thread. I assume you have sorted out your differences regarding financial matters?

I agree with this. This is your best bet moving forward.

A new K1 may likely get scrutinized.

It is something we may consider. Yes, we have spent the last 4 months talking thoroughly about finances and setting milestones for a house and starting a family. We definitely learned out lesson about winging it when it comes to financial matters
