Experience times getting EAD after RFE for I-485/I-864?

So a week after our Biometrics on 4/15 we received an RFE dated 4/19 for our I-485 because I made the mistake of not including my proof of current or established income - just gave my prior tax transcripts (including 2015). It is a request for initial as opposed to additional evidence. I did read that this makes the 90-day EAD process restart as opposed to starting from the day the RFE was sent to us.

My question is this - has anyone experienced a longer or shorter wait time than the 90 days for their EAD after getting an RFE? Is the time based on the day they receive the evidence or accept the evidence (I sent mine Express via FedEx today)?

My husband is so downtrodden that we've to wait another 90 days for him being able to work.

I had a request for initial evidence for i-485 issued a week after my biometrics. Turns out i made a small error on my i 864 as well. it was a simple fix, resent 2 pages of the 864 back.

I was concerned it would affect my EAD/AP but on day 75 from the Received date for the AP/EAD i submitted a service request online and my EAD/AP was completed and approved by an officer the same day.

I believe the time resets for your i-485 now. But in some cases i have heard of some delays associated with EAD/AP.

Be hopeful and positive. Hope your EAD/AP also arrives latest by the 90 day goal from petition date received.

The case will be delayed for a short time after a RFE and when received and back in the hand of the IO he will continue to adjudicate it.

It is not a re start of 90 days, rather it is paused. The faster you respond the quicker your case continues.

Our RFE for I-864 delayed us a short while and it took 102 days from AOS receipt day and 55 days from RFE response received.

We waited 14 days before returning the RFE.

Hi, we also got an RFE for our I-485 while waiting for the biometrics. It added a few weeks to the wait time for the EAD but nothing excessive. We pretty much expected it anyway. Just try get that RFE reply in as soon as you can. We didn't stress too much and took a couple of weeks before we eventually mailed ours in so we may very well have had the combo card even sooner. Hopefully yours will be speedy too.
